     Diploma in Engineering

Once the students successfully complete the Diploma programme they are expected to be able to:

  1. Demonstrate understanding of appropriate mathematical methods relating to modelling and analysing engineering problems.
  2. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the principles appropriate to the specific discipline.
  3. Demonstrate understanding of relevant engineering practices and apply professional and ethical responsibilities including global and social context of engineering.
  4. Develop an understanding of the use of relevant test and measurement equipment.
  5. Demonstrate an understanding of teamwork, for effective practice.
  6. Apply the appropriate mathematical method for modelling and analyse its data by manipulation for presentation.
  7. Use scientific principles to develop engineering solutions to practical problems by using test and measurement equipment.
  8. Select and apply appropriate computer based methods for modelling and use general Information Technology tools.
  9. Analyse systems, processes and components requiring engineering solutions and use creativity in problem solving.
  10. Apply the additional engineering knowledge and learning from the Diploma modules to concepts laid down in the Certificate programme.
  11. Extend his/her knowledge of Mathematics, Statistics, Mechanics and 3D Modelling.

Teaching.

Lecturers teaching on these courses are all highly experienced in teaching at H.E. level and have wide industrial experience along with post graduate qualifications. The lectures will be held in a refurbished building adjacent to LSBM in the heart of London . Students will carry out their practical investigations at Anglia Ruskin University in their well equipped laboratories with access to their Learning Resource facility.

Programme Schedule :

Note; the Certificate programme follows 75% of the Diploma programme as can be seen below. Those students who have enrolled on the Certificate programme and who wish to continue their studies by progressing onto the Diploma will have to achieve at least 60% overall marks on the Certificate programme to be offered the opportunity of transfer.
